We are currently seeking a ''Finance Director'' for our client, a globally operating company in the manufacturing sector, for which we are providing consulting services.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement financial strategies in line with corporate objectives
- Provide strategic financial guidance to senior leadership and operational teams, influencing decision-making and optimizing business performance.
- Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes, ensuring alignment with business strategies.
- Prepare and present financial reports
- Conduct gross profit margin analysis related to sales, ensuring effective margin control and cost reduction.
- Manage and optimize cash flow forecasting
- Develop strategies to optimize cash balances and ensure cash reserves are aligned with the company's financial objectives.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with local and international banks, ensuring access to favorable financial products and services.
- Negotiate credit lines, loans, and other banking facilities to support the company’s growth and operational needs.
- Monitor and manage banking fees and financial services, ensuring cost-effective solutions are utilized.
- Collaborate closely with manufacturing teams to assess financial efficiencies, production costs, and potential cost-saving opportunities within factory operations.
- Ensure accurate financial reporting on manufacturing activities, including cost allocation, variance analysis, and production-related financial forecasts.
- Oversee inventory management from a financial perspective, ensuring accurate valuation, cost control, and stock optimization.
- Implement and maintain inventory control processes, ensuring financial integrity and compliance with company policies.
- Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to optimize stock levels, reduce holding costs, and improve cash flow efficiency related to inventory.
- Provide financial analysis on inventory turnover, obsolescence risks, and strategies to minimize stock-related financial losses.
- Ensure compliance with Turkish financial regulations, tax laws, and international standards (IFRS).
- Oversee internal controls and risk management processes, safeguarding company assets and ensuring the integrity of financial reporting.
- Manage relationships with external auditors and ensure successful audits and reporting compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or Master’s degree preferred.
- English level B2 or C1 plus.
- Professional certification (CPA, ACCA) is highly desirable.
- An approximate of 15-20 years of progressive financial experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within a manufacturing or plant environment.
- Deep understanding of production cycles, inventory management, and manufacturing-related financial management.
- Strong experience in cash flow management and banking relationship management.
- Proven ability to manage financial reporting, gross profit analysis, and financial planning aligned with sales and manufacturing processes.
- Thorough knowledge of IFRS and local Turkish financial regulations.
- Expertise in developing and implementing financial strategies for manufacturing operations.
- Strong understanding of production costs, budget controls, and financial oversight in manufacturing.
- Experience in managing inventory from a financial perspective, including valuation, cost control, and stock optimization.
- Strong leadership skills with a focus on team development, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Highly analytical with a focus on data-driven decision-making and the ability to resolve complex financial challenges.
