Design Manager

Job Description:

Wyser Search & Selection is the executive search and selection brand of GI Group, an Italy-based human resources holding company.

We are looking for a “Design Manager” to be based in Yalova for our business partner specialized in offshore projects and large-scale steel structure industries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• 20 years of experience in steel, piping and outfitting design within industrial projects, shipbuilding or structural steel fabrication companies.
• Strong experience in production-oriented detailed design processes.
• Good command of English.
• Familiarity with design software such as Rhino, Aveva, Cadmatic, Tekla, SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Strong competencies in stress management, team management and multi-project coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinating with relevant departments such as production, planning and project management to determine project production methods.
• Managing and supervising the preparation of detailed designs for steel structures, piping and equipment work.
• Leading the design team and ensuring the efficient planning, coordination and delivery of design outputs.
• Ensuring that design outputs support efficient manufacturing and installation processes.
• Communicating effectively with clients and regulatory authorities on design matters.
• Encouraging collaboration between engineering, production and project management teams.
